Monday 1. Turn in Mapping/Chart questions (pages 251 #1-3, 267 #1-3, 277 1-3) to Edmodo 2. Warm up- Southeast Asia Video Blogs (only 2 people or 20 minutes) 3. Research Australia and New Zealand online and find out why it would be a cool place to visit! Create a 2-3 minute infomercial for a travel company to encourage people to tour these two countries. Requirements: * 2-3 minutes * Must include both Australia and New Zealand * Show your research in note form giving credit to the sites for pictures and info. * Choose any app on your iPad that will allow you to add pictures, music, words and/or voice over. You may play music from one app, while showing on another. (iMovie, Screen Chomp, ShowMe, Explain Everything) Brain storm with your classmates on the best app for you to use. * There will be prizes for the best infomercial!! Tuesday

2/24- The Study of Eras in Europe 1. Greece and Rome, 2. Middle Age, 3. Renaissance, 4. Modern Nation, 5. Industrial Revolution, 6. Europe World Wars. Each student is assigned to a topic. Take notes on own. Groups gather to find the 10 most important facts. Prepare information for timeline 2/25- Create an effective timeline in an efficient manner. Create European timeline using the above eras.Each student will work within their group and then collaborate with the entire class to narrow the timeline to the 7 to 10 most important characteristics of each era. (Teamwork, Collaboration, Creativity) Present each part of the timeline to class. 2/26-Review Eras of Europe. Return Test Hang Timelines Homework: "European Eras" Question Sheet

30, you will find 26 of them on the following pages (644, 650, 659, 664, 670, 675) Put them in your own words. * Next- Read pages 675-682 to take notes to prepare for the assignment comparing WWI and WWII * Using tap quiz map or by printing the map of Europe below. Practice mapping Western Europe. The list of countries is on the side of the map. All these countries circled are part of Western Europe.

1. Answer questions and vocab. in find out box P. 685 & 691 2. Create a Flip Chart with 40 of the most challenging questions from page 639-695 (European Eras and Vocabulary). The Flip Chart is a piece of paper folded in half. Questions on one side answers on the other. Keep it short and in your own words. 3/12- Test Western Europe.
Read 707- 712 Eastern Europe. Do questions 1-7 on P. 712 Poetry Contest- Write a poem following the linked requirements. Turn in to Mrs. Sayer by Friday. You are welcome to entry more than one poem. I would love for it to be connected to Global Studies, but it can be any topic!

Monday- Happy St. Patrick's Day! Exchange reviews and discuss guest speakers. Book Review of pages 706-712 Create an Individual Timeline of Russia's Powerful History. Using pages 713-739, search through these pages for dates, record the dates and the importance in a timeline format. Be sure all dates are important to Russia's history. Make sure you have a minimum of 15 dates and main ideas. Tuesday- As a class, share timelines and important dates. Find pictures that represent those important dates, create a picture book of Russia's History. Using Storybook Creator. Share stories tomorrow!
Wednesday- Share stories. Share Video Blogs of Eastern Europe. Thursday- Finish Sharing stories.

- Introduce Latin America - Mapping Latin America and Colonial Powers Tuesday- Review Mapping Questions "Book Review" of Chp 20 and 21 as a class Pictionary- Using Chp 20 and 21 vocabulary and list all of the words on an "answer sheet" (in a random order) then draw pictures of each word (19) in all using no words. Be ready to share your drawings tomorrow. Wednesday- Share Pictionary drawings
Assign Video Blogs - Due Friday Team Challenge: Latin America Questions. -Using the pdf below find the annotation app of your choice (adobe reader is a class favorite) and download the assignment into your app. You may work with a team for collaboration, but each must create their own answers.
